Thanks for the video! Hey John, I know you guys stayed in Florida for awhile last time you were stateside. I live in the panhandle, a little town called Niceville. 10 miles from Destin, Fl. Our community, primarily the 3 or 4 counties that make up the panhandle region, is about 80 to 90 percent conservative. A totally different experience to that area you guys stayed in last. The school system is much better ran. The public system seems to change a bit depending which party is ruling. My kids went to public schools, but I'm leaning towards sending my granddaughter to a private school. Our good friend had 7 kids graduate from a Christian private school here, and they all are doing well. The classes are only 12 to 15 students, which makes a big difference. Something like that might work for Breanna. Take care and good luck in your travels!

I would think about moving to a conservative U.S. city with a population less than 100,000. A place that isn't close to a woke city, I know that you will do what's best for the family.

Mariz, the school is International School of Manila, google it and ask ur husband to call and inquire. It is located in Taguig. U can choose exclusive school, u will pay tuition fee but it is not as expensive here in US. All people if they go to college, before finishing college they are already in debt. Briana, is smart, she can get job in the corporate world or become nurse, teacher and she can work to US to save for her retirement and retire in the philippines. Please dont let ur daughter be buried in debt just to get education here in US, get educated there and work in US. You have choice, u can relocate in Manila or Makati where all the best exclusive, excellent education when u pay tuition fee and excellent university. Please underestimate Philippines education...we are the best that is why we can work in every part of the world because of our high work ethics. Please stay in Philippines for Briana sake. You just need to relocate in manila or makati, quezon city.

Mariz, I have a suggestion for u guys! Educate your children in the philippines till college. Tuition fee in Pinas, Briana can get bachelor education in a prestigious school in high school and college not paying an arm and a leg. Like here in America, u go to college students already in debt due to high cost of education. If u live in Makati or Manila, you can send Briana in American international school or other international school. Please, educate yourself about our country. We have so.many teachers and nurses educated in pilipinas, cane to US to earn dollars not to study. No place on earth that u can get very good education not paying thousand of us dollars and Filipinos goes in different part of the world because of education they got in pilipinas, coz we can speak English and work.more dollars in US. US education becoming liberal and leftist. Please, don't settle yourself in dumaguete for Briana. She can go to University of the Philippines, ateneo de manila, La salle and many more exclusive private school that u will not pay an arm and a leg. Let her finish her education there, and come to US to work not to study. I graduated in university of the Philippines as teacher, came to US to work. Read this! Yes, she can go to American International School in Makati. Research it please...holy moly!

I am a Canadian rooted in England who coincidentally married a Filipina I met during my PhD in ECE at UBC, while she was pursuing her PhD in food science. Due to limited opportunities in Canada, we relocated to the United States, where she serves as the VP for R&D for a multinational food company, and I work for a tech company as the director of R&D. We have supported our child as best as we could, and has successfully graduated with a double major in biology with top honors and a master's in architecture from a public ivy school. She now works as a junior architect in New York.

Thank you for trying to answer the question of taking a kid to the PI. As I said in your previous video, the wife and I are moving to the PI in less then 2 years. Our Daughter is 13 and in the 8th grade. I agree, a lot of schools here are getting worse. Private schooling in the PI would likely be fine for her. I live in Texas and the schools in our area are decent and not pushing any far left narratives. Just let kids be kids. Anyhow, my question was more of my daughters future in the PI. Working for 10 bucks a day isn't really a good idea. Of course, over here, who knows what she'll do or were she'll work. If she's working at 7-11 in Texas, then the PI would be a better life for her. While I'm alive, hoping for 25 years+, she will do well under my umbrella. I've got a pension, SS and will sell the house $$ and according to other videos I've seen we will be living the life of a PI Doctor or Lawyer, money wise. Nice, yeah. But, when I'm gone reality will kick in for her. So I need to setup some business such as a restaurant, grocery, internet cafe or farm to stand setup. The gears are slowly turning and the movement is all forward, but we can't really do anything until we get there and find the right location to live and settle down. We hope to bump around the Islands, lots of islands. The wife has family in Bohol and Zamboanga. Some PI cities are modern, but the cost there is like being here. Then there's the kind'a modern or there's always province life. If it were just the wife and I we would be, no worries. Big move and big decisions. Good times ahead. Perhaps we'll meet you v'loggers, so many v'loggers these days. Any other comments from people in the know about the subject are welcome! Thanks again, love your channel and style. Your wife is kind and intelligent as are your kids.

There's a lot of choices where to send your kids in the Philippines than in USA. There are plenty of prestigious schools of your choice money can afford. Your children can start from kindergarten to college in the university of your choice. There are exclusive schools for girls only and boys only. I am from a sleepy little town of Dinagat Island. We are 7 children in the family. The oldest went to high school and college in the University of the Visayas in Cebu. I went to college in USP in Cebu. The third one was a government scholar in Javier University in Cagayan de Oro. After college he landed a job in the NBI records section and later transferred to BIR. I graduated high school in the sleepy little town, spoiled brat growing up and hated to go to school. My grades from elementary to high school was just enough to passed. I graduated high school at 16 and some how I realized that I have to grow up. I enrolled myself in college in Cebu City. At 16 I had a chief of police and a policeman fired from the job for vandalizing my father's cockfighting arena in my hometown. I came to USA and become a US citizen all in my own, no lawyer. I had a perfect score in my citizenship exam. I had no interview before I got sworn in because the embassy said that they have no doubt that I could speak and write English. I'm in and out of US Courts from DWI, speeding ticket, eviction, wrongful job termination, divorce and child custody. I've succesfully got a green card for my second husband who's been illegal immigrant in USA for 19 years with an arrest record for domestic violence. Imagine that. I am the only person in USA Social Security history that filed and won SSDI case without medical records. I didn't even showed up on the hearing. The judge called me and talked to me and approved my case. I'm fully retired at the age of 55 complete with Medicare. No one can ever do what I did. I filled out the SSDI applications and appeals forms in just seconds because all questions are about doctors, medicines and health. I got none of that. So I just wrote n/a (not applicable) and signed.

The problem is not the quote/unquote: education system: it’s all the societal abominations & baggage that goes with it. As another commenter said ( which John replied to ) even Elon with all his resources couldn’t protect one of his children. Your children are smart, but not smart enough to fight that fight. FWIW: Don’t trade something that’s fixable (education) for something that isn’t. There may still be some safe place somewhere there (USA), but you’ll need to be very very careful.

Google demographics for Philippines people in USA so you can consider those areas for Mom to continue food, community. In looking at my upcoming move Property tax & available home insurance is big if you are considering to buy. Broken record here but until Bri learned the local language she was isolated in general communications with peers. In Alaska I went to a village where English was second and experienced the isolation because of not knowing the language spoken. Some home schooler begin college age 16 so in 5 years could be Bri. Examine colleges in USA via google so she won’t have to leave home to study. State politics & finance is vastly different and coming out lately. It was a good time for you to have left but hopefully economic will change here with new elections. Another year to wait n see might be best! Safe travels Dad!

No, do not put her in school in the U.S. I'm an American and was over there late last year. It has changed so much from the days when we were raised. I'm telling you America will ruin your children. California is so liberal and anti family. Let the kid's grow up in the Philippines and let them decide where they want to live when they are adults. Just my humble opinion if I had young children. God bless you all, and have a safe trip. Record some prices of groceries, rent, and insurance maybe.

You guys have a great perspective because you've done both. BUT it's easy to say live USA or Philippines if you are retired, but it's another thing to have to keep working and the USA is the only option. Healthcare is not walk in the park in the philppines, my daughter and wife are in the Philippines at the moment, she went to kindergarden in the USA and now in First grade in Private school in the Philippines....I'd say they are very comparible, the teacher to student ratio is much better here in the Philippines in private school. Our daughter appears to be ahead of the kids at her age. But with this said, I do think that the public shcools in the USA are better. I'm all for Trump this year....so will see.

I live in Ozamiz City and my Daughter goes to La Salle University , I think she is far ahead of the kids in 3rd grade, in the US . She loves her school. The department of education in the US is so corrupt and the schools have gone down hill so bad I don't think they can recover, I don't worry here about kids bullying , Shootings . Drugs or teaching my child that they can change their gender Maybe La Salle does not have to use the Dept. of Ed. in Manila. to determine what grade you stat in. They are a Private School . My sister moved to a high end area of Ashevill Nc so her son could go to a high rated public school and it got so bad with Drugs and Violence she put him in private school. Good Luck,

@ninjaturtle6106 Neither of your points are true. You can hate on the US all you want but the bottom line is, young adults have much better opportunities in the US than in the PI. Why do you think so many illegal immigrants are selling everything they own, break the US immigration laws to try and get into the US? Apparently you have not spent very much time if any in the PI to see what poverty looks like. When the average clerk that works at a SM store has to have 2 years of college to work there I would say opportunities are pretty limited especially for those who can't afford 2 years in a college. As for all the illegal immigrants that have invaded the US, I will be glad to see them deported.
